[Defender Pro] Server load caused from Defender

We’ve been monitoring server loads and our provider said it’s the scan Defender is doing. I can’t find the settings to fix the issue. When does the scan run? Can we set the time?

    Hi Tony ,

    Could we know whether your hosting provider has any logs to share regarding this? Or what exactly they notice within the scan causing this? It’s tough to say what’s going on without checking the logs. Did you try increasing the server resources to see whether that helps in any case?

    When does the scan run? Can we set the time?

    A full site scan can take resources depending upon the size of the website. In general, the scans are manually run. Unless, you have scheduled the scan, under Defender Pro > File Scanning > Reporting.

    Please do let us know whether the Hosting provider has anything specific to pinpoint or logs so that I could check with our developer for any further feedback.
