Defender server usage

Defender starts file scanning process suddenly and all site becomes unresponsive. To restore the site, I have to deactivate the plugin via the File Manager. Is there is a way to deactivate the File Scanning feature?

    Hello Play Tienda ,

    I have consulted your case with the Defender developer and we can’t disable File Scanning permanently.
    However, it should not start scanning unless the scan is scheduled or there was the plugin update. So most probably scan started on your site because of update.

    But the good news is that from the next update the file scanning will be done in a different way and that will decrease the load on the server, so you should not have this problem again.
