Domain Mapping with Parallels Confixx or Plesk Panel

Hi, I am trying to set up a WordPress MultiSite with your Domain Mapping plugin and Multi-Domains for Multisite. The basic setup was quite easy so far and I already got a couple of new sites on subdomains of the primary blog which work as expected. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to map individual domains to the subdomains. The A records are already configured correctly to the IP address of the server but I can’t add the domains to the Domain Mapping plugin.

After searching your forum I guess the issue is that new domains routed to the IP address of the server just display a Parallels Confixx default page and not the root directory. I already tried adding the domains to Parallels Confixx and point them to the root directory which works in the browser but not with the Domain Mapping plugin. Is there any way around this because I think my provider will not be willing to change this?

I got another Managed Virtual Server with Parallels Plesk Panel and two dedicated IPs but it also shows a Plesk Panel default page when I route new domains to it. Until now I always thought this is the default setup of most hosting companies and I have never seen new domains being automatically pointed to the root directory. Can you recommend any hosting companies that do that and make setup of multisites easier?

(By the way: after a fresh WordPress and plugin install, I still get the following error message in the Domain Mapping plugin screen which seems strange:

“You use old version of wp-content/sunrise.php file. Please, replace that file with new version which is located by following path: wp-content/plugins/domain-mapping/sunrise.php.”
