Domain redirected you too many times.

This is sort of confusing but basically I have a domain – stor++++++tic.com – that won’t load because it says there are too many redirects, yet ad+++++ness.com, which is set up exactly the same way, works.

Both are in my eNom account, both are set for Cloudflare’s nameservers, in which I have A records for both that lead to WPMUDEV hosting’s IP address, and both are supposed to be loading subsites in the multisite I have there.

In the multisite, I’m using the Domain Mapping plugin and I’ve mapped both domains, yet only ad++++ness.com works. Incidentally, hy+++++anderlust.com is also set up the same way and also works. So I can’t figure out why stor++++tic.com says “too many redirects”. Please check and help.

    Hi Greg,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Our team gave a closer look regarding this and tested further by adding a local DNS, and it seems to redirect properly in such use case.

On troubleshooting, this further this seems more related to one of the CouldFlare Page Rules, or a setting specific from the CloudFlare side.

Could you please double check whether there are any two rules configured to forward traffic to each other? Maybe, temporarily disable, or remove the rules, and see whether you still get the same issue?

Please do let us know how that goes so that we could give a closer look if needed. Looking forward to your response.

    Regards,

    Nithin

Hm. Well I’m not sure whether you guys changed anything but at the moment it’s now loading correctly, but in the Hosting area doesn’t have the green checkmark and in the Domain Mapping plugin it says “Invalid” for the domain. So I mean… it’s working but if there’s still a configuration error somewhere please let me know.
