Edublog Theme – Can’t add HTML in Service Settings

I try to add simple links in the text area of the service settings and something corrupts the link? <a target='_blank' href='http://uneekdoors.com/members-only/athletics/'>Athletics</a>

Turns into this: http://uneekdoors.com/%22http://uneekdoors.com/members-only/athletics/

You’re not using buddypress as well, are you? I see a thread on it but it’s ancient.

Are you copying and pasting that html or are you typing it out? I’m wondering if you’re picking something up with a copy and paste from the source. (This happened quite often over at wp.com because one of the video sites included extra html in their wp.com code to get them to display as copy and paste code. They didn’t understand that the extra html code came over in the copy and pasting.)
