Is there any way to limit the number of "Latest News" articles shown on the front page?

    Are you referring to the RSS feeds – there’s an option there I believe.

    Alternatively editing the theme code should allow you to limit the number of items displaying from the root blog – although I couldn’t tell you exactly where off the top of my head.

    the edu clean theme comes with the link to "forums".

    do I asume right, that the edu forum theme is designed for this "forums"-site?

    the problem seems to be, one can use it only with BuddyPress, right?

    the installation is supposed to go to: into /bb-templates/

    is there a way to use that with wpmu only?

    Yes, the Edublogs bbPress theme matches the Edublogs WPMU theme.

    Incorrect. You can use the Edublogs bbPress theme on any bbPress install running a recent version of bbPress.

    is there a way to use that with wpmu only?

    The Edublogs bbPress theme must be used on a bbPress install.
