Error message when installing plugin

Hi, when I try to install any plugin from the WPMU DEV dashboard, the “install” icon turns into an “error” icon, and I can’t do anything. The site is hosted by WP Engine.

    Greetings @anna_mule delete plugin folder via ftp, and it try to install again, one of my clients had this problem, after one day of deleting folder and trying to install again, we install memory usage plugin, on the bottom saw her hosting provider was giving her only 64 mb, and while installing was crashing, cause of low memory, so she chat with the hosting company and they up her memory to 256, don’t if its same problem, hope this help you in some way.
