I get this message when I try to access the plugins from the dashboard.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 278722 bytes) in /home/perfectp/public_html/wp-includes/class-requests.php on line 752

    Hello Judith,

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    This error suggests that your WordPress is running out of available memory. It’s quite a common issue as the default limit is usually 64M and with a modern theme and a few complex plugins this is usually not enough.

    In order to fix it, please add following line to the “wp-config.php” file of your site:

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT','256M');

    This line should be added above the “/* That’s all, stop editing! */” line.

    Let me know please if that helped!

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Hello Judith!

    The file is located on your server in a “root folder” of your WordPress install. You can access it either by FTP or with a “File Manager” tool in your cPanel.

    You would edit the file with a “clean text” editor such as e.g. Notepad++ or Sublime or similar (but NOT with Word or any text processor) or with cPanel built-in editor.

    This video should help:

    In case you needed further assistance with this, let me know please.

    Best regards,

    Adam
