[Forminator PDF Generator Add-on] PDF Sandwich

Hear me out – I know more templates are on the way, and I wanted to suggest this assuming it would be similar. What if we could create a PDF sandwich of sorts by combining an existing PDF, or more, with the page generated by the PDFs add-on?

For example… Say you have a legacy PDF application that you digitized into a Forminator form. That existing PDF application only has form fields on page 1, and the remaining 5 pages are informational. It would be cool if I could use the PDF add-on to generate the first page and then append the existing PDF that has had the first page removed.

I could also see this being helpful for anyone wanting to create documents with dynamic cover pages, information packets with a quote at the end, and similar cases.

    I could be wrong but from what you have described it sounds similar to what I am looking to achieve but in a slightly different way. Essentially, I have an existing pdf with fillable fields. I would like to create a form in Forminator that can map the form submission data to the fillable pdf – filling the pdf data, which would then be downloadable or emailed. I know jotform offers this feature as I have clients that are using it and would prefer if I could provide this feature for them rather than having to pay for jotform: https://www.jotform.com/products/smart-pdf-forms/

    If I have described that correctly, I believe it would fit what you have described: form data that is submitted is merged with an existing pdf and in your case that data is only on page one and the rest of the pdf is informational.

    In any case, that is exactly what I am looking for and hoping that we can get the Dev team to deliver on that one.

    Just to confirm if I understood everything clearly.

    My colleague was referring to a feature related to importing a PDF, so for example, you create a PDF based on a form and append that PDF page to another PDF that already exists, is that correct?

    In case you only need to fill a PDF with the info from a form as I understood from this https://www.jotform.com/products/smart-pdf-forms/ so it just get info from the form and allow you to add certain fields to the PDF content, it should be already possible with the PDF fields.

    For example, use the HTML field and just add {name-1} or any other field to that PDF in order to get it filled with info from the form.
