[GDPR consent plugin by WPMUDEV] GDPR consent plugin by WPMUDEV

I’ve been using your GDPR Consent Plugin and see great potential for its future. Here are a few quick suggestions to make it even better:

-Dynamic Consent: Update user consent automatically when privacy policies change.

– Better Data Mapping: Help us track how user data is used more easily.

-More Integrations: Connect with more third-party services for broader compliance.

– Multi-language Support: Make consent forms available in multiple languages for global reach (for example: Norway).

– Customizable UI: Let us tweak the consent interface to match our site’s design.

– Advanced Cookie Management: Offer more detailed control over cookie categories.

Thanks for considering these ideas to improve GDPR compliance for WordPress sites.

    Hi Mindaugas

    I hope you’re well today!

We don’t have a “GDPR consent plugin”. Are you referring to our Branda plugin and its “Cookie Notice” module?

However, you mentioned “more integrations” and “more detailed control over cookie categories” which suggests improvements to existing features – and none of those are available in Branda so I’m not sure.

Can you confirm, please, if it’s about Branda or point us to the plugin in question?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Yes, you’re right; Branda primarily provides cookie notifications. However, for compliance with platforms like Google Ads, we need more nuanced control, such as Google Consent Mode (GCM) support. It’s this advanced functionality I was referring to for improvements.

    Hi Mindaugas

    Thanks for response!

What you shared is not from our plugin so we cannot improve that. Branda doesn’t provide full “consent” features but only a cookie notice banner. It does not prevent or control cookies at all, in any way.

All it does it helps you easily display a notification banner.

There are very advanced plugins/solutions such as e.g. Complianz and similar that do provide control over cookies and other GDPR-related aspects.

Implementing anything like that in Branda would actually be creating entire new plugin from scratch, quite a complex one.

I’m not in a position to decide whether we could create such plugin but let’s keep this thread open. Our Project Managers and Developers are closely watching this space so if this idea gets more feedback and support form other Members, it will surely catch their attention – which always affects future development plans.

    Best regards,
    Adam
