Host transfer

Hello Familia,

Here wondering about the easiest way to trasfer a blog from a single wordpress install into a WP.Mu.

This is as far as I’m with the Psek;

Hello,

>> so you mean, I have to create all the databases that I need here with the same name

yes

>> Any way I can leave all the names the same, so that the all work the same, something along those lines?

if you use some includes in your script like include(‘/home/youraccount/public_html/some.file’ then you’ll need to change as path will be different because your username is changed and content of ‘apple’ folder will be located at public_html.

But before merging the old database I just want to move the blogs to look and behave exactly the same as before but in the new host.

To later Export and Import the WordPress Way

Thanks

    Hiya,

You’ll need to setup a database on the new host and copy all of your data from the db on the old db. Then you’ll need to copy all of your files from the old host to the new host. Finally you’ll need to update your wp-config.php with the new db information.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

    Hola,

I already set up my new database and transferred all my data. Also configured the WP-Config

    And here is what happen:

macuserboricua.com is redirected to webdeveloprs.com only when calls index.php page (for exp. http://macuserboricua.com/index.html works fine). Both this domains are pointed to the same directory. It’s internal redirect from PHP script. We are not the developers and we don’t know how your scripts work.

Is so funny cuz I did not had any problemas with 27 Domains but my Feature Website is Down :slight_frown:

Help!! I want to make alot of MacHeads Latinos Happy!!

Alright guys, we figured out, the domain was Parked at the New Host.

The only thing I had to do was "unpark" and then make it a "Addon" pointing at the new folder, and like Andrew said above "update your wp-config.php" with the new info.

    Hope this help!!!

Be back later for more WP.Mu Goodness!!
