[Hosting] Back button doesn’t work as expected

0

I go to the Hub and open a particular site to review the Domain situation. I open Domains and click the 3 dots to “Review the DNS records”. I look at them and then click the left arrow right next to the site name so that I can go back to my domains listing. Instead, I’m taken to the list of connected and registered domains. It’s maddening. It SHOULD go back to the list of domains…

Seriously? I “know” how it works. I described it.

My point is that it is different from how that same button works EVERYWHERE ELSE on the platform. It makes no sense.

Also, saying it “goes back” to the list of domains is inaccurate. I did not get to the screen to manage an individual domain FROM the screen it takes me to. So, it isn’t going back. It’s going to a different screen than I came from. I got to the manage domains screen by selecting a site, then selecting Domains under Hosting, and then clicking the three dots to View DNS Records. Then, I click the “<” next to the site name to go back to the site and I go to the list all registered domains.

It is counter-intuitive and different from the way that same button works across the platform.

    Hi Jack Lavender ,

Apologies for any confusion on how the process here works.

To give some more clarity to this, what happens is that when you click the option to view/manage the DNS records on the 3 dot icon when you go under Sites > (selected site) > Hosting > Domains, it actually directs you to another page under a different Tab/Panel which is now under Domains where the DNS records can be viewed/managed (and not Sites where the list of connected sites is).

This explains why when you press the back button on that particular page, it is actually going to direct you back to the same page where the DNS records can actually be viewed which is either on Registered or Connected Domains under the same Domains Tab/Panel. As already mentioned, that is how the back functionality on that specific page works.

To easily go back to the list you want to see, you can either use the Browser back button as mentioned by my colleague or just simply press the Sites just above the same back button (see below).

    Hope this gives clarity.

    Best Regards,
