[Hosting] Mass PHP Update

2

Our agency hosts well over 125 sites on WPMU and counting. We need a way to perform hosting tasks for all sites at once, so someone on our team does not have to spend time manually opening each site and performing the task. For example, all of our sites need to upgraded to the latest PHP version. We have to sit down and open each site, and it’s 4 clicks per site to get this done. That may not seem like much if you’ve only got 15 sites or so. But start adding that up and it’s just time spent unnecessarily. I’d love to see this so that larger agencies can manage all their sites at once.

    Hi Ambidextrous Services ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

While I understand your point, there are certain actions that should be done site by site, like updating PHP, a PHP upgrade could end up causing fatal errors and other weird behaviors with plugins/themes not compatible.

In this case, while I would actually recommend doing these actions manually, maybe a quick action option from the Hub site list might work? Or would you still want the bulk actions for other settings?

I hope to hear back from you soon.
    Best Regards,
    Williams Valerio

    Hello Ambidextrous Services

At the moment we don’t have a feature like this one, but we would like to inform our development teams about implementing a feature like this, because, I agree, being able to adjust a single hosting setting across some or all the sites that are hosted with us sounds like a great idea.

It would depend of our development team to look how to properly implement this. But if you could share us what would be the best user experience for you, I can share that to our development team too.

    Kind regards,
    Jair.
