Hosting perform actions slowly

When I try some actions on my website like activate/deactivate plugins or page updates, the page loading is very slow and sometimes it shows 504 Gateway Timeout error. Can you help me with that?

    Hi Pradikta Dwi Anthony,

I’m so sorry to hear the inconvenience. I checked the server resource usage and found that your CPU usage is very high and CPU is running at 100% most of the time. To reduce CPU usage, can you please try activating the Page Caching feature in our Hummingbird plugin? That will reduce the load on your server and should help in this scenario.

Moreover, I installed the Query Monitor (https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/) plugin on your site and found that there are 10 slow queries being run and 7 of them are being generated by WooCommerce. There are also 5 duplicate queries being generated by WooCommerce and WPML.These might also contribute in high usage of your CPU.

Can you please try following the workaround provided in this article? https://wpfixit.com/reduce-wordpress-cpu-usage/

I believe these will help you in reducing the load on the server. When server load is reduced, your site should perform faster.

I’ve also checked the RAM and SWAP memory usage on your server. Those are in a good position. Almost half of your SWAP memory is staying unused. So we don’t need to worry about that.

Please let us know the results of your attempts. Feel free to contact us if you have any confusion. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and resolving this issue as soon as possible and we will be very glad to assist further regarding this.

    Regards,

    Rupok

Hi, thank you for the response. Yes I’ve seen you install that plugin.

While I’m trying to activate Hummingbird (which I have to deactivate during debugging with your other support team), I got 502 error now, for anything that I wanna do. When I back to Dashboard and check plugins list, Hummingbird was activated (event before I got 502 error).

Then, when I trying to activate the Page Caching setting on Hummingbird, I got 502 error again. Why now there’s so much 502 error?.

Now, I’ve got 502 Bad Gateway error every time I’m trying to

    – Activate/deactivate plugins

    – Update post/page/product

    – Update it’s (above) translation from WPML translation page

Can’t access Media Library (opened but only spinning around, not showing any media).

I also watching the CPU process while doing all actions above and rarely hit 100%.

    Hi Pradikta Dwi Anthony,

I could see the issue on your site and I saw that CPU didn’t hit the 100% when deactivating the plugin. I have requested our sysadmins to take a look on your site and why the sFTP is timing out on your account.

We will keep you posted about their findings.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

    Hello Pradikta,

I have checked with our sysadmins and your site is regularly throwing warnings from too much load. It means that this basic plan is not enough for the site.

At the moment there is no option to upgrade plans, we are still working on it, however, I have asked if there would be an option that we could manually do that. I’m waiting for the response from Hosting team.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

    Hello Pradikta,

In cases when there is only one site (1 out of 3 available per subscription) we can do a custom upgrade, but since I see more site on your account then we can’t do that right now.

We are working as fast as possible to have those upgrades available and we are hoping it will be really soon, but at the moment I can’t give any ETA.

    kind regards,

    Kasia
