How can I get Slide Ins to show up on the home page

I have just installed the slide in plugin. However, it does not show up on the home page only on all other pages. Also the slide saved reference title appears. How can I get rid of this?

Is your slide-in the “Let’s Talk” Slide-in or another one?

Because I can see that on the frontpage…

This is another vendor scheduler plugin. I have deactivated it.

If you edit your slide-in, could you please tell me if it’s setup to display on archives? or on singlular pages?

Also, what is your frontpage? Is is a page? or an archive?

None of the singular or archives options are selected. I am not sure what my front page is as this is a theme I bought. How can I tell what it is?

Go to Settings => Reading

Is your frontpage set to display your latest posts or a static page?

In that case you’ll have to assign the slide-in to single pages!

You can also create 2 of them and assign one of them to single pages and the other one to archives.

Sorry, I could not get back earlier since I had meeting with clients.

I just tried your suggestion one on singular and the other slide-in on archive. When I reload the page the slide in only comes up on the other pages except the front page. You can login to my wordpress as I am only just started to setup. Do you want me to set you up as a user and tell me what is wrong?

I created 2 slides on saved as archives, the other saved as singular page. Only the archive appears but on all the pages except the home page. How can I get the slide in to appear on the home page.

Does your theme have a separate template file that handles the frontpage?

Can I set you up as a temp. user so that you can take a look as I don’t know. How can I tell so that in future I can relate to the same problem? I bought this theme. Your slide in works fine with other themes. My site is

The slide-in plugin uses the loop to determine if it should be triggered or not.

Obviously your theme does not use the loop on the frontpage and is using a custom-coded frontpage template.

Let me see if I can get someone to help us on this issue.

Hello,

If your theme uses wp_footer hook (hopefully it does – it’s a really good practice), you could try and instruct the plugin to use this instead of the loop. To do this, visit your plugin Global Settings page and, all the way down, under the “Advanced” section, you’ll see a text field labeled “Custom injection hook”. Enter “wp_footer” in this field, without quotes (please, make sure that there are no spaces there either) and save your settings.

Sure! just add this in your stylesheets as well:

div.widget_appointments_monthly_calendar h3 { text-align: center !important; }

Finally, post and pages contain by whom it is written, date published, category, comments, and edit right under the heading. How can I remove this? Is there a plugin that handles the removal?

ok… try adding this in your stylesheet:

div#main_content dt p { display: none; }

This might have some side-effects because the element there has no class. I tried making it as specific as your theme would allow, so just test this and report back if it works. :slight_smile:
