How to change color on top bar?

Hi,

Theme I am using: Community

I put my URL for the logo but I want the rest of the (Top Header) block to be a different color. I don’t want white. I’m talking about the background color where Home, Blogs, Members, etc. on top.

Where do I change it? Thanks.

There should be a manual or whitepaper on how to use each theme.

    try this:slight_smile:

    open up /_inc/css/base.css and search the #top-header (id)

    comment it out for backup…like this

    /*

    #top-header {

    margin: 0px;

    padding: 0px;

    float: left;

    width: 100%;

    }

    */

    and below add this new line

    #top-header {

    background: #000000; /* enter your own hex color here */

    margin: 0px;

    padding: 2%;

    float: left;

    width: 96%;

    }

    that should make the top-header different colour.

    but you still need to make other adjustment like top-header link

    color, the nav color etc if you decided to change the default white

    bg to other color.

    used the preset style.

    if you meant html/css tutorial/docs edit on every theme..that will be

    not likely since every theme had different coding and xhtml.css and

    covering all aspect will be really time consuming..hehe

    What I meant by whitepaper was like other premium wordpress themes I dealt with in the past. They have a manual for it. Sometimes the preset styles is still not the color you want so they documented something like, if you want to change the background, go to *css file. If you want to edit the subnav, this is the *.php file you will edit. Something like that. I can tell you that the Revolution2 develoers had a very good docs of their designs.
