[Hub] Name The Website + Update Everthing + Safe BackUp

Hello ,

In Hub I suggest three things :

1- Ability To Rename Each Website or Fetch the Name from website title not URL

2- When I click Update Everything at the website level should apply for this website only not all of them.

3- Safe Backup : before I do update I suggest two have two options one for update on staging website and the safe backup by force backup before update

    Thank you, this is a nice suggestion, hope more members will vote for it and our developers will consider developing it.

    2- When I click Update Everything at the website level should apply for this website only not all of them.

    Update Everything button, the one that shows on subsites, it is the same button as showing above the site's list

    [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

    The sites can be unselected from being updated. Although I see your point and agree that Update Everything button when specific site tab is open, could update only the plugins form one site.

    3- Safe Backup : before I do update I suggest two have two options one for update on staging website and the safe backup by force backup before update

    On the Update Everything pop-up, there is a notice showing up to run a site backup before an update

    [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

    As for forcing our members to run a backup, I am afraid we can not do this, site backup feature is optional. The backup can run only if the Snapshot plugin is installed and activated; if our members prefer using a different backup plugin we cannot force everyone to use Snapshot plugin.

      About point three it is not about forcing it is about an option if i am using Snapshot plugin , For example I have plugin’s update for plugin A in Website X when I will click update I have three options :

      Update – Safe Update ( Take a backup First ) – Update To Stage ( push update to staging website )

      Other services like WPtimecapsule and ManageWP do this

        That’s true, we don’t have any connection between live environment and staging environment, this would be an awesome addition though, having something like a “staging URL” that you could add in your live domain and use it in cases like this.
