[Hummingbird Pro] Show which assets are hosted on CDN in list

0

It would be nice if in the list of all assets in the optimizer, I could see which assets are hosted on your CDN.

Currently I’m using Jetpacks CDN for default WordPress asset files, and your hummingbird CDN for theme and plugin files. I’m manually entering all files I don’t want hosted on your CDN in the box under the Settings tab.

Hope you know what I mean.
Thanks!

EDIT: Added an attachment with a mockup with a tag next to the asset name.

    Hello Ante,

Good day to you and thank you for reaching out to us.

If you navigate to Hummingbird > Asset Optimization > (Toggle) Manual
You will be provided the option to Filter the List of files being handled by The plugin and at the same time is fed to the CDN.
[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]
These assets in turn would be served from hrun.wpmudev.host whereas **.wp.com is for Jetpack.

But as you mention you exclude files from using CDN within the Settings, then the rest of the asset files are then handled by our Hummingbird CDN (provided you enable the option to Enable WPMU DEV CDN).

    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Arjay L.

But I think a little badge next to the file name wouldn’t be too bad after all. Easier to scan.

Also, why not allow exclusion from hosting directly from the list?
    “Host on CDN: Yes/No”

Might be more user friendly than having a text field under the Settings tab?

    Hi Ante,

We highly appreciate your feedback regarding the user-interface and that will keep your insight with a note to our Developer team. I am marking this as a feature request for now. Let’s see how other members think about this.

We always aim to simplify the details and navigation. A novice user, when prompted with many different switches and toggle buttons are likely to make improper configuration. Hence an ideal pre-set configuration is implemented upon activation of a certain feature. While a virtuoso would eventually ask for a more specific configuration if he or she does not find the route to a more intricate option.

Do let me know if you have further questions or inquiries. I will be glad to assist you.

    Best regards,
    Arjay L.
