I cannot get the popup I want. I am using the mailpoet shortcode, but the popup still asks for en unwanted e-mail

    To make a test on your site, temporary for a couple of minutes, I published this popup draft.
    After that, I visited the random post and pop up appears.

    [mailpoet_form id=”1″] shortcode is generated ok and I was able to fill that form and send. I get an email confirmation as well. So far so good.

    but the popup still asks for en unwanted e-mail

    Do you mean by that you see additional form below? If so this happens because when you created that pop up at start you choose ” Email Opt-in”, which by default ad Emails tab, this one generates form.

    If you want to use your own form via an above shortcode, you need to create pop up “Informational”.
    It works the same way but does not include this default/additional form. Please check the screenshot:
