[Hustle Pro] Slide-in will not Save

I’m trying to update my heading on my active slide-in, but when I try to save, it never completes and just shows a continuous circle timer.

    Hi Holly Chervnsik

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

Most likely it would be related to either some conflict (caused by theme or some other plugin) or to some resource issues but to be able to tell more about it, I’d need to check the site and test it.

Would you please enable support access to the site so I could take a closer look? To do so, please go to the “Network Admin -> WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access” page and click on “Grant support access” button there.

Let me know here once it’s done (as I won’t be notified automatically) and I’ll check the site to see how we could fix the issue for you.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Holly Chervnsik

    Thanks for granting access.

Is that slide-in on one of the sub-sites? I’ve accessed the main site and since there was no slide-ins there I tried to create one and it got saves without any issues.

Would you point me to a sub-site that I should check please? Also, since these sub-sites have their own domains mapped, I’m afraid the support access will not “let me in” anywhere else than Network Admin area and main site’s dashboard.

There’s a text field on the “Network Admin -> WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access” page so would you please put some admin-level credentials there for me that would let me log into that affected sub-site?

Note: please do not post any credentials here, instead put them in the text box mentioned above; it doesn’t have to be a super-admin account, a temporary admin-level account that you create and remove after we’re done with the issue would suffice – as long as it gives access to the sub-site in question.

Update me here, please, once it’s done and let me know which sub-site I should be checking.

    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

    Hi Holly Chervnsik

    Thank you for providing access!

I was able to check it and it turned out it was actually CleanTalk Anti-Spam plugin blocking it. I’m a bit surprised as saving the slide-in has nothing to do with spam or forms and the plugin was also set to bypass Administrator user role entirely but it didn’t do it.

Upon “save” an admin-ajax POST request was blocked internally (“under the hood”, so to say) with a “403 Forbidden” HTTP status and a message from CleanTalk that it’s blocked due to “user blacklisted” (not sure when and why, I think it’s misinformation actually) due to “too many forms being sent”. But it was doing that upon each and every save so I believe it’s just wrongly detecting that action.

I’m not much familiar with this plugin so there might be more “granular” setting for that but so far, I’ve set “Protect logged in Users” option to “Off” on that sub-site (only on that sub-site in question, I didn’t change anything on network-level and or on any other sub-site) and that fixed the issue.

You might, however, want to report that to CleanTalk developers too as in my opinion CleanTalk is detecting that “save” action incorrectly as any form submission and additionally apparently it doesn’t “bypass” administrator role in this case.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Oh wow! Thank you so much! I’ve actually had an issue on another site that was giving me that “too many forms being sent” error, so I will definitely contact them about that. FYI – it was doing that with the Divi theme page builder.

    I really appreciate everything!
