I need a CDN hostname

Hi

I use GTmetrix to monitor site performance, but I discovered that they didn’t recognize the cdn I run via Smush. They ask me to fill in my cdn hostname. Not sure where to find it… can you help me please.

Sincerely

Steven

    Hi Steven,

    Hope you are doing good today. :slight_smile:

    Please do note that Smush at the moment cannot serve images loaded via CSS, that's for example:

    .elementor-12 {
    background-image: url(path-to-image);
    }

    In the above CSS example, images paths are hardcoded in the CSS code, and at the moment the plugin will not able to move such images to CDN.

    I checked the GTmetrix and it's listing 3 images that need to be in CDN:

    Toppbilde-03-1140x600px.jpg
    datingjuks-570x607px.jpg
    toppbilde-1140x650px.jpg

    And all those images are loaded via CSS. I'm afraid, there isn't much that could be done regarding this via Smush CDN.

    Other than these 3 images, there are CSS and JS files which are listed as needs to use a CDN. I could notice all those JS, and CSS files are part of the Autoptimize plugin.

    If the Autoptimize plugin doesn't have an option to serve such files via CDN. You could disable Auoptimize plugin, and use Hummingbird plugins Asset Optimization feature, which should allow you to move such files to CDN too.
