iframe code

I uploaded additional-tags to mu-plugins folder. From the instruction, “add additional tags (embed, iframe, etc) to be used when writing a post or page (in their html tab).” I tried to embed the several iframe codes in the post with HTML, but it doesn’t show up. All the code were gone when I switched HTML to visual. However, if I put the same code in the widget, it works.

I am using WP MU 2.9.1.1 and buddypress 1.1.3. The theme I am using is buddypress social theme. Is it possible to fix it?

Thanks.

Hi Li Ning, there is a trick with adding HTML to Posts and Pages.

Clicking on Visual Tab after you have added the embed code can strip the code with some embed HTML and with others it can break the code causing problems with it in Internet Explorer.

It’s best practice to add embed HTML code into posts following these steps:

    1. Completely write your post including adding title, text, images, tags and categories.

    2. Click on Save Draft, previewed your post and make all necessary edits.

    3. Click on HTML Tab

    4. Paste the embed code into your post where you want it to appear then immediately click Publish (don’t click back onto Visual Tab).

    5. Then close your post.

    6. To change back to Visual Editing mode when you write your next post just click on the Visual tab.

If you edit a post with embed HTML code you may need to add new embed code.

Here are the instructions we give Edublogs.org users to help them with it – http://help.edublogs.org/2009/07/29/embedding-videos-from-video-sharing-websites-into-your-posts/
