Installing Recaptcha on Blog Sign-up

I found an article here about installing recaptcha on signup but cannot understand how to do it.

Do you know the steps to install this on the sign up page?

    Find the plugin on wordpress official website. It’s explained there.

    I installed but has not seen a decrease in splogs. It’s possible that it would have been much worse without it.

    Some themes will not display the recaptcha box (a required function isn’t used) and if you use recaptcha for comments it won’t be able to comment on blogs using those themes.

    I use it for signups only now. I get alot of splogs anyway but like I said, it could probably be worse without the plugin.
