[Integrated Video Tutorials] Trying to add a specific video playlist to my dashboard crashes the b

I have a custom playlist called SureCart ECommerce Tutorials. I have context sensitive help turned on. When I try to add the playlist to the “The Dashboard” in the visibility settings, I get a critical error. Error goes away when I remove the Dashboard from locations.

    Hello Carl

    We hope you’re doing well.

I’ve tested this on my lab site and I was able to replicate the issue on my end too. We have reported this issue to our Integrated Video Tutorials plugin devs, they will reply back to you as soon they have an update regarding this situation. Apologies for the inconveniences.

    Regards,
    Luis

    Hello Carl

    We hope you’re doing well.

We escalated this case to our plugin devs, but still we don’t have any ETA about when the fix will be released. In the meantime,we found a work around that could help to fix the issue in the current version of the plugin:

    1. Edit the custom video of your playlist
    2. Change the start time from :22 to (00:22 or 0:22)
    3. Then save

Then try to add the playlist to the “The Dashboard” in the visibility settings again and check if it works.

    Regards,
    Luis

I didn’t have to change the start time of the video as it was already set to 00:22 (at least when I looked at it right now.)

I set the visib ility settings for “Dashboard” and for “Media Library” for the SureCart – Eccomerce Tutrorials playlist. Unfortunately, it doens’tt show up in either place.

It’s good that it didn’t crash my website, but it would be better if it showed up in the admin area.

Also, it would be great if when we choose the “Dashboard” if we could assign it a relative position on the dasshboard, such as right below the SureCart admin menu position.

    Hi Carl

Unfortunately, it doens’tt show up in either place.

They will show in the “HELP” tab on the selected page and not in the admin menu on the left.

The “Video Tutorials” under “Dashboard” menu item that you’d normally see is not coming from the visibility settings. It’s from the “Settings -> Display Settings” configuration of the plugin.

There you have option to choose if the main video’s page should be showing up under “Dashboard” admin menu or if it should be “its own” top-level menu item and another setting where you set the menu/sub-menu item name – by defult it’s “Video Tutorials”.

The visibility options are different. If you enable playlist to show e.g. for Media Library, you will see it there but not as a submenu of “Media” admin menu item; instead you need to actually enter Media Library page and click on the “HELP” tab in top-right corner of the page.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
