jQuery script for carousel or tabbed area that works with MU?

I’ve tried several and while they work fine with regular WP, they don’t with MU.

I’m sure there’s something I need to know or am not doing. It could be a conflict with BuddyPress from what I’ve discovered searching.

I’ve tried a script called innerfade because I read on a forum it worked with BuddyPress & MU but I can’t get it to work. Almost, but not quite.

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m very comfortable with WP but learning lots about MU.

    Might help us help you if you told us what was occurring. "I can’t get it to work" doesn’t give us a whole lot to go on. edit: Or at least provide a link.

    You’re not loading multiple copies of jquery, are you?

    We have a couple of home themes that use stepcarousel scripts. I can’t link to them here due to NDAs but they work something like this one:

    I’m sorry to suggest this but have you tried using their scripts if this is what you;re trying to do? :whistle:

    No, I’m not loading multiple instances of jQuery. I’ve used the exact same code on a MU install and on a regular WP install and while it works on the regular WP, it doesn’t on MU.

    Doesn’t work means the code is correct, but the function doesn’t work.

    In doing some preliminary searching I’ve seen mention of troubles people have had with jQuery additions and MU/BuddyPress installations. Hence the question :slight_smile:

    I would be interested in any themes with carousel and/or tabbed sections built in already. Obviously would save time…and hair pulling. :wink:
