[Managed Hosting] Cannot create any sites

I’m not able to create any sites with server regions set at the US – East and US – West regions. They get stuck at 95% and then fails with the following error message: “There was an error creating {prefix}.wpmudev.host. Please try again or contact support if the problem continues.” Please advice.

    We’ve passed that case to our Hosting team and they’re checking what could have caused that. Since it’s a beta release so far, there might still be some unexpected issues but our developers and sys-admins are working hard to sort them all out as fast as possible. We appreciate all the feedback too!

    We believe the problem was a temporary issue with our site creation API. When you get a chance, please try again and let us know if you still experience problems. In the meantime, we’re putting some fixes in place to minimize the chance that it happens again :slight_smile:

    Hi Amy,

    I don’t see any sites registered with that domain so it should be free.

    We did have some issues in the past where failed sites would still keep the domain busy for some time but that should be resolved.

    I will ping the devs about this so they can check if this is what happened again.

    Hi Amy,

    It seems that during the site creation something went wrong so the site didn’t get created but the domain did, so it’s not registered with another member but it is “in use”.

    Our devs are looking into why this happened and to release the domain for you.

    Can you try with a different domain in the meantime and see if that works for you?

      Hm, okay so it looks like it did create the domain? It’s appearing in the Hub, but it’s not appearing on the Hosting page. If I click the WP Admin button in the Hub, it doesn’t get to the admin, so I can’t tell if the site was created or not.

    I had this problem last night, I created a site, would get to 95% and would fail and not show in hosting, but would show in The Hub.

    I removed it from The Hub, tried again an hour later and it all worked fine. I believe their was a problem with the cloud server which was causing the issue but this has now been resolved.

      Thanks for letting us know about it. Our hosting is still in beta stage so there are still chances that some “glitches” may occur but reports like this helps us identify issues so thank you very much for feedback. I’ve passed it to our hosting team :slight_smile:
