Moving from WordPress to MU- where is the wp-content directory for each blog?

I’m moving four WordPress sites into one MU. I’ve read up on how to move the database by replacing wp with wp_1 etc. but what about the files that were in the wp-content directory like my images etc. If a blog has an ID1 in MU, where do I move the files from wp-content of the original WordPress directory.

Thanks

    One more question-

I’ve tried manually adding users and although the MU reports that the user is added, I do not see the user on the list of users. I’ve tried adding users with and without the email confirmation box checked but the users just dont appear anywhere.

Ok- sorry for all the questions but here are two more:

    1) MU is not creating a year/month based directory structure inside the blog.dr/5/files directory. I dont see any Misc. settings option either where I used to define this in the non MU version of WordPress

    2) The original WordPress had images in the following:

    http://megamers.tbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/doa_image1jpg.jpg

Where exactly do I place the uploads dir with all the images in MU. The blog id is 5 on the new installation? I tried it in the blogs.dir/5/files/ folder but that still doesnt show up any image.

    Hiya,

How can I import users via the db?

That’s definitely possible. I’m afraid we can’t assist with things like this though. If you need assistance I’d recommend hiring a developer to take care of the migration for you.

I’ve tried manually adding users and although the MU reports that the user is added, I do not see the user on the list of users. I’ve tried adding users with and without the email confirmation box checked but the users just dont appear anywhere.

Again, I’m afraid we really can’t assist with this.

If I define users prior to installing BP, will they be automatically added to BP?

    yes.

Some settings have been removed from WPMU. Again, I recommend hiring a developer to assist you with the migration.

    2) The original WordPress had images in the following:

    http://megamers.tbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/doa_image1jpg.jpg

I’m afraid you’re going to have to go through each and every post updating the path to the images.

I hope this helps a little but I’m afraid this is all the assistance we can provide. If you still need help I highly recommend hiring a developer to assist you.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

    Thanks Andrew-

So, just to follow up, MU, by default, doesn’t create a year/month folder structure for images? Is there a plugin that does allow this functionality instead of dumpling every single image in one directory?
