[Other] The Hub Client is not ready for clients

I just learned that nobody else can add website to “The Hub Client” but the main account of WPMU Member (such as myself).

Previously I was misinterpret the messages of The Hub Client and I was thought I can invite potential clients to join The Hub Client, which then they can connect their WordPress Website by themselves. I had double confirmed this via WPMU Support Live Chat.

I’m very looking forward on The Hub Client where we can allow our potential client to add their WordPress Website to the “The Hub Client”, which then we can charge them by offering them membership to the services (exactly advertised as per The Hub Client page):

I think I misunderstood the message, but really hope The Hub Client can grow into a full automated SAAS model for us :)

    Trust you are doing good and thank you for reaching out to us.

    If a team member has sufficient permissions, he can connect a new site with the Hub Client. However, he cannot connect a site with the Hub using the Dashboard plugin, and they cannot download the Dashboard plugin as well as they are free members.

    Please let us know if you notice any issues while trying to connect a site from the Hub client using a team member account? Would you please add a screenshot of the problem that you saw to get a better idea of this?

      Thank you for responding.

      It’s very weird. This morning I tried to use “team member account” to connect a website “techpedia.asia” but failed. Then I contacted WPMU Live Chat Support and your colleague also facing the same error.

      However, after I submitted this ticket and your reply, I tried using the same team member account to add the same website and out of sudden it’s working already. I didn’t touch anything in terms of The Hub setting or anything else.

      By the way, just to assure with you, I’m using “The Hub Client”, not “The Hub” for the actions I mentioned above.

      I’m creating another temporary website and will try again to double confirm it’s working.

      Will update again the result.

    First of all, it’s really really weird that out of sudden I can add other website using team account for “The Hub Client”. I was trying for quite some time and this morning I even seek help from WPMU Live Chat Support.

    Now is working.

    By the way, I wish to mention that some wording might need to update accordingly for example after my “team member” added the site, the wording “The Hub” shall be replace by the “rebranding name” that I used for “The Hub Client” (which for now I’m using “Portal” as rebranding purpose).
