Password Issue

We have people trying to sign up for a site and receiving the an “ERROR: Please enter a password” message. We have tried multiple passwords with and without caps, numbers and special characters. Nothing works. We have also updated all plugins without any resolution. Do you know what might be causing this?

    Hello forthgear

    I trust you’re doing well!

Out of the box, the Pro Site plugin doesn’t request from a user to add an account password. Looks like the pro site is page is customized. I’ve tested the Pro Site plugin on my test site and could not replicate a similar issue.

Please run a full test for a conflict with another plugin. Before running this test please have a full backup of your site. If possible please run this test on a staging site.

-Deactivate all plugins, besides the Pro Sites and see if the issue is still there. Please also switch to a default WordPress theme to make sure there is no conflict with the currently active theme.

    – If all is well, start activating one plugin at a time, or on Groups till the error will be back. The last activated plugin is the one that causing this issue.

Let us know how it went!

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hey Nastia,

I found the issue is with the Branda Pro plugin from WPMU. When I deactivate the plugin, it removes the password fields. We would like to keep this plugin though. I tried to modifiy one of this plugins files, but my ftp client is being weird and wont let me upload it. Could you maybe look into it since it is one of your plugins?

    Thanks

    Hey there forthgear !
I hope you are doing well today!

Thank you very much for doing the conflict test for us. Could you please go through the following steps?

    1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Go to Dashboard -> Branda Pro -> Front-end -> Login Screen.
    3. On the “Content” section, open the “Form” accordion.
    4. Change the status of “Password field on register screen” from “Show” to “Hide“.
