PNG images not converted to the JPEG

The PNG image is not converted to JPEG if an image is uploaded from a Media Library.

    I wasn't able to replicate this issue on my end, it seems that the automatic smushing is working good and the JPG image is being generated from PNG.

    Please keep in mind that there are some limitations on this though, as stated in Smush settings:

    Note: Any PNGs with transparency will be ignored. Smush will only convert PNGs if it results in a smaller file size

    Could you please give it a try with the same testing image that I used? I'm attaching it here, so we can double-confirm this. :slight_smile:
