Pointing domain to WPMU hosting

HI There thank you for helping me today.

I'm trying to point my domain over to WPMU hosting for webdesign-engine.co.uk

I've set up the DNS for my domain (on TSO Host) – I've done this for one of my other domains and followed the same steps. I've attached the DNS settings I'm using, they don't seem to be working.

Is this something you can help me with?

Thank you

    Hi Jeff,

The settings seem to be correct, and just to be sure, that’s the same setup that you used for the other site?

I still see that the site is still loading and I’m guessing that’s from your old hosting, is that right?

DNS changes can sometimes take up to 24 hours (even more in some rare cases) so it’s quite possible that only thing wrong here is not waiting long enough

Can you tell us how long ago did you make these changes?

    Best regards,

    Predrag

    Hello Jeff

I did check settings on the screenshot and the domain itself and you’re right, the settings are correct but they don’t seem to be applied.

The domain currently points to 185.119.173.166 IP which isn’t the one that you set there. Scan with ViewDNS.info shows that while the DNS is fully propagated, the A record points to this IP, there’s no AAAA records set and nameservers are from “gridhost.co.uk”.

As far as I understand the Gridhost and TSO are the same company where TSO is regular hosting and Gridhost is their cloud solution, right? This definitely is an issue with the DNS on their site. I’m not that familiar with their platform but there are two probable reasons for this, in my opinion: it’s either that you might have to set that in some different panel than the one you did (maybe that’s a hosting panel but there’s a separate panel for domain management? just assuming) or there might be some additional option to actually “apply” or “push live” those changes.

If you don’t see anything like that, I’d suggest getting in touch with their support and asking them about “why these changes don’t take any effect” and/or “how to make them live”. It’s an issue that’s entirely on the “DNS side” so they should be able to diagnose this and help you with actually applying these settings to the domain.

    Kind regards,

    Adam
