Popup activation causes internal server error

This is actually for the Popups plugin, but I can’t select with your UI because it isn’t active on the website; this is actually the issue.

Every time I try to activate it, it causes and internal server error.

This has occurred ever since the first pass addition of the WordPress cache compatibility. We’d really like to use the plugin, is there any way this can be fixed?

Thank you

Can you please provide me further details about the internal server error, what was the fatal behind it.

If your not sure then please check your servers error_log files and let me know what is in there.

If you are unsure where that is then please ask your host as they will know your servers hosting setup best.

    Thanks.

Hello, sorry for the delay, I didn’t get post notification on this thread. Quite a bit of activity has happened since I last tried to activate the plugin. Since this is a live commerce site, I can’t risk turning it back on.

Is there another way to debug this, or is there a paid premium support option for this that includes a WPMUDEV staff member actively working on the issue? I’d really like to continue using the plugin, if possible. Thank you !

If you can get me those error_logs that should be able to point us to the cause before debugging further.

Failing that the next way to debug is by deactivating all plugins and testing in the default Twenty Eleven theme. Hopefully seeing your error logs would mean we don’t have to do that.

    Thanks.

I forgot to update this thread; version 4.4.1 of the plugin seems to work fine so far; I installed it nearly a day ago and everything seems to be fine with it. If it does happen again I’ll send the server logs of course. I’m sure it was the cache, ultimately.

    Thank you!
