Possible yo move from 16 DB to 256 ot Upper

Hi,

I start my WPMU site with 16 DB.

If my website growth well, can I move to 256 or Upper DB support?

    It’s definitely possible but it’s not easy and generally not something we assist with due to the complexity.

    If you honestly think you’ll need 256 databases then it’s best to start out with 256. Personally I would only go with 256 databases if there will be more than 30-50K blogs.

    We do all of our installs as 256 dbs and just say the heck with it. While the client may tell us "Oh, it’s only going to be a few blogs" they may change their mind down the road.

    As Andrew notes, there’s no easy or automated method from going from 16 to 256.
