Problem with SmartCrawl SEO Checkup

Hi,

I have Smartcrawl set up in PerSite mode (in the network settings permissions). All options are ticked and should be available.

In the “Main Site” the SEO checkup option is available. However in the other site in this instance (Reach Society) its not available at all (the menu item is missing).

Regards

    Hello Mark

    I hope you’re well today!

The SEO Checkup is only available and only work for main site. It can only check the mains site and in “per site” mode the switch that you’re referring to will only enable/disable SEOCheckup access on the main site. On sub-sites it will remain unavailable.

I realize though that the option switch is described in a misleading way. This is a bug and I apologize for it causing confusion.

Our developers are already aware of that and with one of upcoming releases it should be adjusted to make it clear how it works: that the SEO Checkup only works for main site of the multisite and that in “per site” mode that switch enables/disables it only for main site.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Isn’t that a bit strange though, subsites (even if it’s not a series of discrete sites but related ones) will have difference templates (potentially) and different content. Being able to scan each one would surely be a requirement to getting good SEO over all the sites (this isn’t even to mention that I was planning on a multi-site install for all our basic sites with different templates and unrelated content – this means either putting a halt to that OR finding other tools really). Are there any plans to change/add this feature?

    Regards

    Mark
