Remember Me Checked a Security Issues

Someone told me that remember me checked is a security issue on multi user sites and I should not use it. These seems strange to me, since edublogs uses it and they are a very large a well respected site.

Do you think Remember me Checked is a security issue?

    We’ve *never* had an issue with it at Edublogs.

    It does come up time to time in their forums though. ABout once a week seems like it. :slight_smile:

    Stressing the need for teachers to encourage their students to practice safe web surfing and clearing out their personal data in their browsers gets pointed out when it comes up.

    It’s really moot considering that most browsers seem to cache the information for the form anyway, even if you don’t check that box. One of the reasons stressing the clearing of data is important.
