Remove the WPMU Dev Dashboard

Hello –

I’d like to remove the WPMU Dev Dashboard item from my WP dashboard.

Could someone give me some direction?

Thanks!

    Greetings Dirk,

Thank you for this great question and a significant item to bring up.

Logged into the admin dashboard go to plugins, locate the WPMU Dev Dashboard plugin, and click delete. Confirm deletion and boom, gone.

Thank you for being a WPMU Dev Community Member!

    Cheers, Joe

    Greetings Dirk,

Now that is a whole different ticket there … lol

Just kidding as you can see.

On a serious note you will need to remove the code from within the php files that is rendering that message from every WPMU Dev plugin and theme you have on your installation.

Unfortunately there is no other way that I am aware of to get rid of it.

    Cheers, Joe

I would like to do the same…. it’s not good to have the nag screen coming up especially when there is just a single plugin on the site and no need at all to have the dashboard plugin installed.

This is a serious oversight for simple use of the plugins.

What is the “simple” workaround that doesn’t involve hacking the php which would create havoc in any upgrade situation!

    Greetings AccXess,

Thank you for your feedback of this controversial issue that has been discussed a million times in the forums.

The powers that be are aware of this and their decisions stand. i.e. The Owner of WPMU Dev, the WPMU Dev lead developer, and the WPMU Dev head of support.

There is no use in trying to bring it up again only to be told no. Case closed.

    Cheers, Joe
