Reports not showing updates

On a particular website, I did lot of updates trough the Hub on 27 August

Report was sent on 29 August to my customer, and do not display any update history !

Customer now thinks I did nothing …

Reports show some history for other website but not this one, what happens ?

    Hey Jean

As far as I know, the reports will only show plugin updates that have been updated via automate. If you updated them on your own, it currently does not display on your report. This is, also as far as I know, busy being changed by wpmudev to reflect all changes (including ones made by yourself) which should hopefully be coming in an update soon.

    Hello there Jean

What Baldafrican said is correct. Currently Reports can see updates made strictly via Automate, but this is going to be changed with upcoming Hub v.2 update, so all updates are going to be included.

Also keep in mind that “Client” reports won’t show any pending updates, only updates that already happened, while “Developer” report will display them all (current data still coming from Automate).

This will also be updated with upcoming Reports v.2 release, which will allow you to customise each section separately, having more control.

    Thank you,

    Dimitris

Oh my god .. it would be crazy to use automate on a complex WooCommerce website where each update can crash the commerce, I only do safely one by one in The Hub

Else, we could just turn on automatic updates for WP and WPMU Hub is not needed anymore

This means I send empty reports to all my customers … cool

    Hey Jean

I understand that having automate updates isn’t useful for all cases, that’s why we do include the “Auto backup before every update”, “Perform Safe Upgrade check” and “Instant Email Alerts” options.

Another approach would be to create a staging environment and enable automate upgrades to this one instead, then manually apply any changes in the live site.

As for reports, as said above, will also get updated with upcoming release.

    Thank you,

    Dimitris
