SEO Sitemap not adding pages

Using SEO sitemap- scans and has 8 hidden pages… added to the sitemap. Rescan. Pages not in the site map. Tried same from HUB (adding and rescan). No pages added to the sitemap. The site is only 8 pages…. why isn't it adding the pages? My site is getting a hard SEO listing hit becasue nothing is in the Site Map.

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    I’m not sure about your site configuration as I don’t have access to it but I can see that the sitemap there is not from the SmartCrawl plugin. The sitemap says “Created with PRO Sitemap Service” so it’s a different sitemap that apparently “overwrites” the one created by SmartCrawl.

    Do you have any other SEO/site-map creation plugins active on site? If yes, it’d be recommended to disable them as such duplicated features might cause unexpected issue.

    I’d also suggest following:

    1. access your WordPress install using FTP or cPanel “File Manger”

    2. you should see the “sitemap.xml” file in the root folder of your install there, so delete it from there

    3. once that’s done, go to “Dashboard – Home” page in your site’s back-end and in the “Sitemaps – SmartCrawl” box there click on “Update sitemap now”.

    This should re-generate SmartCrawl sitemap so the proper one would be used. If that doesn’t solve the issue, I’ll then need to take a closer look so please

    – give that a go and if it doesn’t help

    – enable support access to the site for me by going to the “WPMU DEV -> Support” page in site’s back-end and clicking on the “Grant support access” button there.

    WOOHOO!!! That worked! I have no idea where that sitemap came from, I didn’t have any other SEO plug-ins installed. Must have been some weird leftover. (Possibly a remnant from before my time with this client.)
