Shipper migration issue

Hi, I ran shipper overnight exporting my multisite from one to another. I received an email that the export completed, but it looks like some of my subsites are not working.

    Hi Tom !

Sorry to hear that you had issues with Shipper. It’s hard to tell what went wrong as I checked the log file and I didn’t notice something there. Do you know what the dev you hired fixed? Since it is related to specific sub-sites, it was probably related to db, eg some records not replaced in options table, or some table/record not imported for instance, however this is just guessing. Once we have more info about the error you had or what the dev fixed we can try figure what went wrong.

    Kind regards!

    Hi Panos!

So, I don’t remember exactly what happened when I tried to load the sub sites, but I do know that I received an email saying that Shipper completed successfully, even though the sub sites did not load. The developer used a different plugin called Duplicator Pro

So your developer migrated your site all over. I had the impression that there were just some db changes done which could perhaps point to some potential root of this issue. As the logs don’t mention any error (eg table of file failed to be imported) we can only make guesses, especially since we don’t know for what reason those sub-sites were not working (eg some error/warning from debug.log). Unfortunately there’s not really something I can say for sure here.

Shipper is still in it’s early stages and developers are constantly working on improvements and new features. You can see what is planned next here:
