[SmartCrawl Pro] Possibility of switch of lastmod directive in sitemap.xml

0

Like other SEO plugins (e.g. The SEO framework) SmartCrawl should have the possibility of turning of the lastmod directive. There are two reasons for that:

1. in some cases it is not good to show the lastmod (as the post/page was not updated long time, you can still "reactivate" old project with old SQL timestamps and this will not help you)

2. it is optional protocol directive

3. it solves other problem with SQL timestamps (as the 0000-00-00 default value of MyISAM engine)

    Hello Jan Drda

Thank you for your suggestion. Though lastmod directive is important sometimes if you want to let the search engine know about the older posts so that they can focus on newser posts, I am marking this as a feature request for now. Let’s see how other members think about this.

I have also informed the SmartCrawl team about this suggestion  Have a nice day!

    Cheers,

    Ash
