Smush CDN is causing slow loading time

When Smush CDN is disabled the site loading almost instantly but when CDN is enabled, it’s taking much time for the site to load.

    I hope you’re well today!

    I checked your site and I can see how it slows down with CDN enabled. I did, however, also noticed that even with CDN enabled, images doesn’t seem to be loaded via Smush CDN. I know from the chat that there’s also an error showing up in logs.

    I couldn’t replicate this on my setup, though. You also mentioned that it was working fine up until around Saturday or Sunday but we didn’t release any update to Smush CDN around that time and there shouldn’t be any changes made as well.

    I’m wondering then what else could possibly change: were there any updates to the site whatsoever (even if they seem not related – any plugin or the theme?), any server-side changes or even some small changes in site configuration (e.g. in some plugin settings)?

    I’m asking because sometimes even things that are seemingly unrelated might turn out to be a “spark” that triggers some issues.

    I also understand that his is a live site – would it be possible to run a full conflict test on it (so disable all the plugins except from Smush and WPMU DEV Dashboard and switch the site to Twenty Nineteen theme temporarily to see if the issue still applies) or, if not, would you be able to set up a staging site where we could do some more intensive testing?
