Smush Didn’t update the JPEG links

I bulk converted my PNG to JPEGs, but the images links didn’t update and now I see broken images on my website. Can you help me?

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    The Smush Pro plugin is attempting to update all possible image references that it’s able to find. There are some exceptions to this as sometimes images are added in a way that prevents such update, for example they might be “hard-coded” in CSS or template file or “injected” to the page via JS and so on.

    Featured Images should be replaced in most cases though as long as the them is not displaying them in some non-standard way or there’s no other plugin that’s interfering. We’ve already asked our Second Line Support to check your site to find out why those images weren’t updated there so please keep an eye on this ticket for further information.

    Meanwhile – is there a chance that you could run a full conflict test on site? If it’s possible it might help in finding the reason for the issue. A conflict test means disabling all the plugins on site and switching theme temporarily to the Twenty Twenty and if the issue is gone:
    – enable one plugin back and check again
    – then repeat with next plugins, one by one, until the issue shows up again

    The last one enabled would be the most likely reason for the conflict. If you can run such test, let us know about results please.

    I’ve passed that additional info to our developers as well so they’d have a full insight to the case. They’ll be checking it and we’ll update you here as soon as we get to know more about what is causing it and how to fix it.

    I talked with developers and Smush shouldn’t create any extra attachments with parent_id. So it looks like it was some sort of conflict with other plugin. But we would really like to know what caused the problem.

    Where there any plugins that you turned off or did you changed some code before you posted here?
