Smush is stuck on 0% after lots of image optimization

After optimizing a lot of images, Smush is stuck. When restarting the bulk smush, it remains at 0% and not moving forward. No errors in the developer’s console or in the debug.log file.

    Ash,

    When I ran the regenerate thumbnails plugin I got a lot of errors. They are attached.

    [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members] How do I rectify these errors so I can have thumbnails to smush?

    Hope you are doing well.

    As we checked on chat, seems the images on media library still loading on the HTTP making this issue happens, I suggest we run a better search and replace plugin and make sure all links are updated, for this we suggest create a full backup of your site, once done, please, let us know and we can run the test for you.

    I have successfully run the backup for my site COMANCO.com and now need someone to proceed with the search and replace to make sure all picture links are updated so I can regenerate the thumbnails and then check if Smush is working again.

    Support Technician Sohag Ronjon Dey has worked on my ticket and ran the search and replace. It failed. He has reached out to the developers to continue researching the problem for the next step. Someone, please help in regards to what the next step will be.

    I recently spoke on live chat id PQT30UCZH4. The support tech was unable to update this ticket with what you all are working on to fix the issue. He said a technician Patrick or Paul was working on my issue in the backend. Please let me know when this issue has a status update.

    Hope you are doing well.

    We try not to update the ticket each chat because we work on a queue when a ticket is updated it goes back below the queue, and it can cause a delay on the response, this why we suggest keep it on the last reply until we update the thread.

    Once that told, I would like to update the status of your ticket. First, you had some images loading on the HTTP instead of HTTPS; it could be causing the problem.

    My teammate Sohag and I did a search and replace using the Serch and Replace plugin. After some fixes, we were able to update the URLs.

    But the issue persists when regenerating thumbnails using the regenerate thumbnails plugin.

    It skips the image warning the Full-Size image isn't on media directory, but when I checked, I can see the right image there.

    I also checked the files permission on the FTP, they are 644 as should be, note, this is not related to the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin or Smush Pro, but some images not being loaded on the WordPress media library. At this moment we covered all common issues for those images.

    I'll escalate this thread to our second level support.

    Note the Second Level Support deal with more complex issues, and a delay on the reply might happen.

    Hope you are doing well.

    Sorry for the delay on the response here, this was a slow fix to take.

    As was told before, you had some images that weren't working on your site, and Smush and Regenerate thumbnails couldn't run on those images.

    We applied a fix on Hummingbird, and it could complete 100% the progress, however, the images had the metadata missing, this why even Regenerate Thumbnails wasn't working.

    It was happening for more than 1700 images. Our SLS team could fix most of the images, and you can see that now the images are working fine.

    However, some images still with metadata missing or not found on FTP and couldn't be Smushed.

    On the Smush Page, you can see you have 92 attachments that need smushing!

    You can try to run the WordPress Dashboard > Tools > Regenerate Thumbnails then Run the Bulk Smush and check if this will regenerate the rest of the images.
