[Smush Pro] Backend fetch failed

After enabling Smush CDN, all images go missing on the site. When accessing the image URL, there’s a 503 error saying “Back-end fetch failed”.

    Hello Jill

I hope you’re well today and thank you for reaching out to us!

I checked your site and the issue here is that while hosting with GoDaddy’s “managed hosting” you apparently already have some sort of their CDN already configured. The images in question are already served from GoDaddy’s CDN instead of your site directly.

This is conflicting with Smush CDN. The same image cannot be handled by/served from two CDN’s at once and there’s currently no way for those two to work together. The solution here is to either stick to the GoDaddy’s CDN and don’t enable Smush CDN or disable (assuming that is possible; I’m not that much familiar with GoDaddy’s managed hosting available configuration options) it and use Smush CDN instead of it.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
