    Hello Craig Wann

    I hope you’re well today!

I tried to use both Support Access and credentials that you provided during the chat to access staging site in order to check the issue but, unfortunately, in both cases I’m redirected back to the front-end, without any errors and messages. i suppose there’s some additional security layer there that keeps me away or the “wp-admin” area is moved to some other location?

Are you aware of any tool/option on site that might be causing it? If yes, would it be possible that you’d either temporarily disable it or provide me with a way to overcome it?

Note please: do not post any passwords and similar sensitive data here; if there’s a need to send them to us, let me know here first.

I’m asking because without being able to check the site I can only tell so far that this is somehow related to Varnish cache (based on the “Guru Meditation” message). If you got Varnish cache on your host you might want to try to clear it up or disable entirely – at least temporarily – to test if that helps but if that doesn’t work I’ll need to investigate the case closer.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Thanks for looking into this Adam!

I just reactivated the user. You can go to login/ to login. I know the server is behind a CDN, but I have that turned off for my IP address. How would you recommend I check to see if varnish is enabled?

    Thanks!
    Craig

    Hello Craig Wann ,

From what I see on your site you are using plugin WP Offload Media, so images are stored on AWS servers.
Currently, Smush CDN doesn’t support images from Amazon S3.
At the moment, Smush CDN uses an internal verification procedure to make sure that images from only the registered sites with a valid license can use the CDN. In order to do so, only the images that are served under the website domain, which is registered in the Hub, will work. Thus, S3 images with a different link will not.

Images have to be stored directly on the site so Smush CDN can be used.

Let us know if you have more questions.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Craig Wann,

I went to your staging site and found that all the images are loading. Then I found that the images are loading from your own server, but not from Smush CDN servers. To check Smush Pro configuration, I logged in with given WP User Credentials, but it’s asking me to enable 2FA and not allowing me to access any other page on the dashboard. As multiple WPMU DEV agents will be working on your issue to provide you faster support, it will be harder to work with 2FA for a single agent.

Can you please temporarily disable 2FA on your staging site until we are finished with the investigation? Please let us know when you are done disabling that.

    Regards,
    Rupok

    Hi Craig Wann,

So sorry for the inconvenience. I could replicate the issue and have already reported this to our developers. They will investigate this very soon. We will update you here as soon as we get anything from them. I really appreciate your patience.

    Regards,
    Rupok

    Hi Craig,

We had a number of fixes and improvements included with Smush 3.3 that we released earlier today and after I updated it on your staging site and enabled CDN everything seems to be working fine.

Images are loaded from CDN and are all displayed properly so it looks to be in order now.
Can you check yourself and see if everthing is in place?

    Best regards,
    Predrag

Hope this isn’t Closed. Woke up this morning to 503 Errors being thrown by the CDN. Hosting for this particular site is with WPMUDEV.

Please provide a status update when you have a moment. Have disconnected the CDN for now.
