[Smush Pro] Is there a problem with the Smush PRO new version?

Look at the site registered. Some photos are blown out of proportions after the upgrade? Especially footers, but also in the middle of the site. This is for a lot of sites. What happened?

    Hello Christer Hansson

    I hope you’re well today!

I see that you’ve got a lot of site’s registered with us so I’ve started with the “abc…no” one that you have assigned to this ticket.

I can see some images being “scaled up/distorted” there indeed. For example: images in “testimonials” section and an image in footer. By the look at the source code of the page though – it actually seems that it’s a side effect of Smush CDN doing… what it is expected to do.

What I mean is: I’m pretty sure that there’s option to resize images enabled in CDN settings. This is supposed to resized images to match their containers and the containers – at least according to the page source code that can be seen in browser – are actually way bigger than images. So, in theory, that would be expected. Furthermore, the update did bring some fixes related to this because in some cases images weren’t in fact resized properly or at all.

However, please don’t take this as “ultimate” diagnosis yet. I’d like to take a closer look at the setup of (mostly Smush CDN and specific pages/parts of the site) of this site or couple of affected sites to be able to gather more details and consult that with our developers.

That said, would you please enable support access to the site (or a few example sites affected) for me? To do so, please go to the “WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access” page in site’s back-end and click on “Grant support access” button there, then let me know here once it’s open.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam!

Thx as always for a quick and good response. I fully see that the containers and smushing are in fact working as they should, so this could be an “theme” or “module” issue

I am running on fumes due to much work, so I will get to this within a short time (dont know excactly, but will do!) Sorry about that

Will get back to you! And again, to you and your great team! Thx for fantastic support and system

PS! Eagerly awaiting HUB 2.0

    All the best

    /Chris
