[Smush Pro] Show More Status

0

It shows you a green check-mark if you’ve bulk smushed. Not sure why it’s green instead of the blue one under Lazy Load and CDN. So that’s first confusion. Second, on Directory Smush, it doesn’t show anything, even if you’ve run it. Does it run it automatically in the future also, with new files in those directories? What if a new directory is added? It’s just not clear. Similar on integrations. Seems like it should have SOME kind of status. A gray – icon for nothing on and nothing that could be turned on, but then a checkmark if everything that can be turned on is turned on. Something that tells you without having to go into them all. Then if it could show all of these back in a HUB, so we could see the status across all of the sites we manage, that would be great.

    Hi web_unlimited ,

It shows you a green check-mark if you’ve bulk smushed. Not sure why it’s green instead of the blue one under Lazy Load and CDN. So that’s first confusion.

The green checkmark appears to point out all the files has been bulk smushed, and the blue indicates for activation ie when SMUSH CDN and Lazyload is activated. The tick checkmarks should ensure these settings are working or enabled irrespective of the colours blue or green. Going to each tab individually ie clicking the “CDN”, or “Lazyload” tab etc should also give you a better idea.

Second, on Directory Smush, it doesn’t show anything, even if you’ve run it. Does it run it automatically in the future also, with new files in those directories? What if a new directory is added? It’s just not clear.

Did you click the “Choose Directory” button seen in the “Directory Smush” tab as shown in the following screenshot:

Once done, it should open a popup with all the directory listed inside the /wp-content folder, and once a directory or file is selected, clicking “CHoose Directory” button on the popup should start a smush for the selected directory or image as shown in the given screenshot below:

Smush should detect new directories or images added within /wp-content folder automatically and should list in the popup for you to manually smush the images as required.

. Similar on integrations. Seems like it should have SOME kind of status. A gray – icon for nothing on and nothing that could be turned on, but then a checkmark if everything that can be turned on is turned on.

Integration options can only be enabled if the respective plugins meant for integration are already active on your website. If not, the options would be greyed out as you notice currently when you go to the “Integrations” tab.

You can also check the plugin documentation for more info:

I do see listing these back in the Hub would be helpful. I’ll make sure to bring your feedback to our team’s attention so that they could check further regarding its aspects, and see what further improvements could be done.

Thanks for your feedback. Have a nice day ahead.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
