[Smush Pro] Timeout problem while optimizing pics

Hi! I always got this message while trying to optimize the pics on the site: Skipped due to a timeout error. You can increase the request timeout to make sure Smush has enough time to process larger files. define(‘WP_SMUSH_API_TIMEOUT’, 150);
I put this code in wp-config.php file: define(‘WP_SMUSH_API_TIMEOUT’, 300);
Nothing happened… I got the messages after like before.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks!

    Hi Szasz Karoly

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    Please go to the “WPMU DEV -> Support -> System Information” page in site’s back-end and in the “PHP” tab there check the value of “max_execution_time” line.

    If it’s anything less than 150 it might be necessary to increase that too. Usually that can be done via cPanel so if you do have cPanel, look for MultiPHP INI editor option or similar PHP configuration option and try setting “max_execution_time” there to 150 or more.

    If that is either impossible or doesn’t help, I’ll need to take a closer look at the site so in such case, please enable support access to it.

    To do so go to the “WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support access” page in your site’s back-end and clicking on “Grant support access” button there and let me know here once it’s done as I won’t be notified automatically.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Szasz Karoly ,

    I see that your WP admin is quite slow when navigating through pages so it’s possible something else is “eating” up the resources and causing Smush to fail because of that.

    Before we dig more into that can you tell me where the error in Smush is shown, when doing a Bulk Smush or when optimizing single image from Media library?

    Also, I would like to perform a bulk smush on your site but before I do that can you tell me if you have backup of your site ready, just to stay on the safe side in case that something goes wrong?

    Best regards,
    Predrag
