some plugin updates fail

I wanted to update backupbuddy from the HUB but it generated a “plugin update failed” error , by logging into the websites’ wp admin the update worked well as usual. I already encountered that error on another site as well vielfach.ch

    hope you’re doing good! :slight_smile:

    I just tried to replicate this in a site of mine and after installing a previous version of BackupBuddy plugin and used our licence, I got the prompt for update in /wp-admin/update-core.php.

    I then navigated to Hub and the update notification was there too.

    Updating the plugin from Hub was successful in my first try.

    I wonder if this was a temporary glitch, so if possible, don’t update the plugin from WP admin area and try to give it another try from Hub.

    If this continues, then I’d advise to create a staging environment of the affected site into another location/folder in the same server, using a separate database, and proceed with a conflict test in there. Meaning, deactivate all other plugins apart from WPMUDEV Dashboard and BackupBuddy, one by one, and try to update from Hub each time.
