    Hello Steve,

We are waiting for feedback from Reports developer about this issue, as we can’t replicate it on our sites.

Can you tell me if this is happening for the same site of you create a new report? Those reports with empty data – where they edited after creation? Do you remember if they were not containing data from the beginning?

    kind regards,

    Kasia

    Hi

Attached are 2 reports. Report 1 is what is created/sent immediately after creating a new report. Report 2 is a report that was created some time ago – apart from the colour/logo branding, they are the same report. Report 3 is the new report edited 10 mins after creation.

So you can see, it seems that the information pulled through immediately the report is created is either wrong (the update section) or missing (the performance section). The forced edit appears to refresh the data correctly.

I can replicate this on other sites – Reports 4 & 5 are existing and new reports from another site. Same behaviour….

    Hi Steve,

I’m so sorry for the delay from our end and I do apologize for this. I’m confirming you that a task is already created and assigned for our developer for investigating this issue and they are currently working on this. I believe they will come up with a solution very soon.

We will update you here as soon as we have any update regarding this.

Please keep in mind, our developers work around the clock and they have to deal with lots of critical issues and other things. So it may take a little while for them to check this and provide their valuable feedback on this. I’ll really appreciate your patience.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!

This just confirms my belief that this product is not really production ready, and certainly not fit for use with clients.

When the developers get around to taking a look, I’ll get around to renewing my subscription.

    Thanks

Please keep in mind, our developers work around the clock and they have to deal with lots of critical issues and other things.

That would suggest they are trying to cobble together fixes for software that was released before it was production level ready

This seems to be a continuing theme at WPMU where plugins are rushed out and paying customers are used as crash test dummies to report problems that should have been ironed out before plugin release.

10 days up the line – is there a solution?

    Hello joe,

I understand your point of view, but I want to assure you that we do test our plugins and services before releasing. However sometimes it is not possible to catch everything – especially in this case where issue was not showing every time and at first staff could not replicate it.

I’ve checked status of this bug and it is being tested – if it will pass tests it will be released.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

    Hello joe,

However, I have exactly this same problem with reports missing information, and given this problem is now almost a month old why has a fix not been produced?

I’m afraid I don’t have access to information like that as they are discussed between developers internally. Right now I see that it is tested to catch all the cases where the issue occurs and fix will be released when it will pass those tests.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

I checked a couple of sites, and ran summary and detailed reports on both. In both cases, the Summary report stated there were no updates required, where the Detailed report stated there were. Logging into the 2 sites confirms updates are available.

There are also discrepancies between the 2 reports of number of issues that need attention in the File Scanning section. Again, the Summary report is different to the Detailed report. Logging into the sites and checking Defender, shows the Detailed report again is correct. For both sites, the Summary report says there are more issues to resolve that Defender reports, so dont know where its getting that information.

Its consistent for me, so I’d expect it to be the same for others. Did this not appear in unit testing by the devs? I’d be interested to know if they actually did a side by side comparison or just pushed the report code updates to prod because they believed they fixed the issue – which for the record they haven’t, due to the issues I described above.

Good work Steve and anyone who likes a bet will know where to stick their money on that one.

Did the devs or didn’t they do complete testing?

Sorry to say, but I reckon they took the short way round – very disappointing !

I have tested that and I don't see any difference for Summary, Detailed and what shows on my site and in HUB. File scanning shows 9 issues that needs my attention and that number is consistent:

Can you open access to site from where different Summary and Detailed reports are generated?

    kind regards,

    Access granted.

Here are my screenshots..you'll see one matches Defender (that's from the Detailed report), one from the Summary report does not. Same behaviour on the other site I tested. I'll add a couple more sites and see if they are the same.
